Hi, My Friend...

Hi, my Friends! :o) I hope you are having a wonderful relaxing Saturday evening! I spent the day picking up the house and relaxing with Stephen. I think we've watched 5 movies today and just chilled out...which is a nice change. I haven't stamped much lately...other than for Christmas gifts. I just made this fun little card for a friend of mine. I used foam sticky letters from Hobby Lobby for the "Hi" and hand wrote the "my friend". I love the fun colors too. Well, I'm off to watch Ghost Hunters "TAPS!" I love that show! hehehehe! Hugs to all! Ash~

Our Christmas... spent in the ER! & Sketch Challenge!

Happy Thursday Everyone! Sorry I've been away for a couple of days! Do I have a story for you! So Christmas was wonderful this year...until we ended up spending from 6pm Christmas night until midnight in the Clark Memorial Hospital emergency room. So, we went to Stephen's family Christmas first where he received a gift of new spelunker lights...you know the ones you wear on your head and they are hands free... a new knife, and a tool set. So, we leave around 6pm to head to Christmas with my family which is about 45 minutes away. So, we get on the road and Stephen opens his spelunker lights and has one on his head, but like a child needed the other 2 (there were 3 in the package) and the batteries in the bottom of the package. I had no idea what he was doing in the seat next to me since I was driving. Well, next thing I know... here's how the conversation went:

Stephen: Ashley, I think I just cut my leg.
Ashley: WHAT?!?!?! YOU BETTER BE JOKING!
Stephen: No, I think it is really bad too!
Ashley: OMG!!!!! WHAT WERE YOU DOING?!
Stephen: I was opening my lights with my new knife and my hand slipped and the knife went into my leg!
Ashley: OMG! OMG! OMG! (I was freaking out!)

So, we pull off the road and my head is against the window praying there isn't blood EVERYWHERE! He pulls down his pants and sure enough...there was a big hole in his leg! It truly looked like a gun shot wound! So, at that moment I turned the car around and rushed him to the ER, called my family and said we wouldn't be making it this Christmas, and spent 1/2 of Christmas in the hospital. The picture above is of Renee who was the Physicians Assistant that stitched Stephen up...she totally rocks! :o) If you'd like to see the actual pictures I took of the wound...then feel free to email me at: ashleyscreativecorner@hotmail.com and I would be happy to share! :o) I was going to post them on here...but I'm sure some of you don't want to see. So, needless to say... 10 stitches and a lot of pain meds later...he is feeling better...some what. So, that's my story about our Christmas 2007! That's one for our books so far! LOL!!! So, have a great evening! I'm off to bed! Hugs to all! Ash~

Here is the card I made for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge on SCS. :o) I used the snowman from the Winter Memories stamp set from www.treehousestamps.com . Isn't he/she cute! :o) The sentiment is from A Muse. Hugs to all! Ash~
