Hi Friends! I hope that everyone had a lovely weekend & a great start to this week. :o) This is todays brainwave challenge. I loved the color combo of the pink, vanilla, and chocolate. If you upload your creation to SCS... please use BWC in your keywords so that I can find your creation. :)

The stamp set used on my card is called, Friends & Lattes. It will be available soon from Treehouse Stamps! :) The background was made doing clear embossing on the chocolate chip cardstock to give it a depth. There are dimensionals beehind the large pretty pink scallop, the coffee cup, and again behind the tag and steam swirl. :) I used copic markers to color in my main image. Scary Treat... Tutorial

Hi Friends! Here is a little tutorial that I put together to show you the little tootsie pop covers that I came up with. I just thought I'd share! I hope you like it! :) Hugs, Ashley

You will Need:
~1- 5"x3" piece of cardstock (mine is certainly celery)
~1-scrap piece of white paper to punch out the back circle
~1-scrap piece of other color cardstock to punch out scallop
~crop-a-dile or hole punch
~ink
~coloring element
~stamps (mine are from Treehouse Stamps) Creepy Crawly
~tootsie pop
~ribbon
~dimensionals
~1 3/8" circle punch
~scallop punc
~scissors

Stamp your sentiment on 5"x3" piece of cardstock... then wrap it around sucker to figure out where you need to punch your holes.

Use a marker and put dots on each side of the sucker stem.

Punch holes through both sides of the cardstock and feed ribbon through.

Before you tighten the ribbon... put the sucker in there and tie in a bow

Stamp and color your image. Cut it out and place on the white 1 3/8" circle and scallop punch with a dimensional. I used a copic maker to color my bat. Then attach your scallop punch to the sucker cover with another dimensional and there you go! :o) A scary treat...that anyone will enjoy!! :o)

Stamps: Treehouse Stamps (Creepy Crawly)
Paper: Certainly Celery, Eggplant, white
Ink: black
Accessories: copic marker, 1 3/8" circle punch, scallop punch, crop-a-dile, acrylic block, dimensionals

Limited Supplies Challenge: Birthday Wishes

Howdy Friends! Here is my card for todays limited supplies challenge! :o) Here were the rules:

"First, I realized I don’t do birthday cards very often, so this was particularly a challenge for me and is the first part of the challenge – to use a birthday theme.Next, I would like you to use four layers or less. I have been thinking about this a lot, and I think in the future that when I post a challenge the amount of layers won’t matter, because I figure we ALL have paper, right?? For this one, though, stick to four layers or less. The last aspect of this challenge is the toughest. You may use ink pads, but NO OTHER form of ink or coloring (this includes markers of any kind, crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, blender pens, etc.). If you have a bold image, that should not be a problem. But, if you choose to use a line image, you will have to paper piece the colors into your image if you wish to fill it in. The beauty of it, though, is that all of the paper-pieced parts only count as ONE LAYER (thought I’d make at least PART of this a little easier). Also, ribbon/cord is the ONLY allowed embellishment (I know, this may be tough). Please, no Cuttlebugging, Stickles, brads, eyelets, Primas, Nestabilities, etc. Punches are okay, but try to limit them (I only used them for the sentiment.) Stick with the paper, ink and ribbon (and, of course, your stamps!) Have fun!!"

So... this is what came out! LOL!! Good thing it was a birthday theme. I needed a birthday card as I'm working on making birthday raks for a few (16) Splitcoaststampers. LOL!! :o) The stamps on this card are from: http://www.treehousestamps.com/!

Have a great day!
Hugs,
Ash~

Happy Birthday, Angela!

Howdy Friends! How is your weekend going so far?! Mine is going wonderfully. I've been stamping like crazy. Thursday was my last day at work so I've been doing a lot of work for my company (Treehouse Stamps). Yesterday Stephen and I planned on going to the drive in to see The Dark Knight and Hancock. Well, we got there 1 1/2 hours early...and it was PACKED out already! So, we ended up going mini golfing and out to dinner. We are getting ready to leave to head to the regular movies to see The Dark Knight. Then we have a birthday party to attend. It is Angela's 40th birthday! :o) I made this little set of stationary for her. I hope she likes it. All of the stamps came from Papertrey Ink. Well, we've gotta get going to the movies! Have a great day!
Hugs,
Ashley :o)
